What to include in a support email
Tell us what happened and when, your iPhone model, iOS version and StopWake app version if known. Include a screenshot if useful, but please remove anything sensitive you don't want to share.
Quick answers
Why didn't I get an alert?
Check iPhone location and notification permissions, battery/power-saving settings, and whether the app had access to a usable location signal. Tunnels and signal interruptions may affect alert accuracy.
Does journey sharing track me live?
No. The current app offers a snapshot of the latest available location as part of a message, rather than continuous live tracking.
Does StopWake send messages automatically?
The app can prepare messages for a journey contact. Check and send the message using your iPhone's messaging interface, and confirm that it was delivered.
How do I request data deletion?
Email info@stopwake.com with “StopWake Data Deletion Request” in the subject. Explain which information you want deleted. Messages already sent to other people or retained by messaging providers may be beyond our control.
In an emergency or immediate danger, call 999. For non-emergency incidents on the railway, you can text British Transport Police on 61016. Do not wait for a response from StopWake support in an urgent situation.
